One of my favourite cartoon tropes is the seeker visiting the monk in a remote mountain cave. I tried my hand at it a while ago, and had a context I thought funny and timely, but then could not decide finally how it should land (see further below).
Then, in late December, I got into a slap fight with my bestie, a very old friend, roughly over the meaning of Christmas; him being against presents and me being against being against Christmas, and who should get credit for a caption he wrote if I ever produced a cartoon card, however edited. It was ugly. :~
Result: I never did make a Christmas card this year. Sour grapes or good sense? You be the judge. However, these two were in contention:
