It isn’t really of course. Things are pretty solid generally: infrastructure, administration, the economy. We lead good lives here in The New World.
So what is it, all the complaining? Why must everything be a crisis, the end of civilization as we know it?
One wonders, how did we get here? When did it start? Who’s to blame?
There are many answers, none satisfactory, none that lead to less hysteria.
Even our good neighbour to the South, the land of milk and honey, is suffering the malaise of slipperyslopeism.
